Prior to COVID-19, our family celebrated the birth of our puppies by inviting our new friends (puppy owners), family, and neighbors everytime we had a new litter of puppies! We called them our "Puppy parties"! Children (of all ages), grandchildren, and, yes- us "adults", spent the day at the farm celebrating these wonderful dogs.
Horseback riding, pony rides, Kubota wagon rides, BBQ, running the hay bales, campfires, and PUPPIES!!! Spring time parties included bounce houses, sand boxes, and kiddie pools. Fall parties included pumpkin painting, pumpkin carving, face painting and more!
All the new owners of my puppies were invited to these parties! We would get together with a meet and greet and spend the day making new friends, talking puppies, eating great food, and just enjoying life making great memories. COVID-19 stopped these parties, but hopefully we'll be able to start this tradition again soon.

Zena was born on a sheep farm in Blossom, Texas. She was the only white/biscuit puppy in her litter. She has changed coat colors over the years. She drops her coat twice a year and everytime it comes back a little different.
Both of her parents are AKC registered. She comes from an excellent line of livestock guard dogs. I did not purchase her AKC registration paperwork, or breeding rights.

AUGUST 14, 2021-
It is with deep sadness that I have to announce that my dogs were attacked by a pack of Coyotes Thursday, August 12, about 10 pm. The Coyotes lured them into the swamp to the east of our property.
Tex came home first with bites to his face, but will recover. Zena came home yesterday about noon with bites to her left shoulder, front legs, and hind quarters, but will recover. Blue came home a couple hours later with various bites, but was also bitten by a snake. She will recover. L'D and Zeus, because of their thick, long coats, did not sustain any significant injuries.
My beautiful Smokey came home about 11 p.m. last night. She was savagely attacked and sustained bites all over her body. Her chest was ripped open and trachea was torn. Smokey was tenacious and did NOT allow predators on her property. She was rushed to the vet and they did all they could do. I had to say goodbye to this beautiful dog about 1 p.m. this afternoon. My heart is broken. She will be missed...
