It's hard to imagine that this police favorite ever dwindled in popularity, but in 2013, AKC registered only 51 bloodhounds, and 77 in 2015. The breed is now coming back in popularity.


The Bloodhound is #3 on the UK's Endangered Dog Breeds list.
