We have a "NO SHELTER" policy and take back our dogs.
Prior to Covid, less than 5 dogs were returned to us in a year. In 2023 over 36 dogs/puppies were returned, 11 in one month! The average age is 9 months. The #1 dog returned is the Catahoula, followed by the Bloodhound, and then the Anatolian Shepherd. THE #1 REASON FOR DOGS BEING RETURNED IS LACK OF CONSISTANT TRAINING AND PROPER SOCIALIZATION!
In 2025 we took in a total of 63 dogs- 21 rehome, 2 rescues, and 40 puppies that were from other "breeders"- (people that shouldn't have been breeding).
We provide all the care, food, vaccines, microchips, toys, treats, dewormings, and fun for these dogs and puppies, sometimes for over a year until they find a home. We have a NO SHELTER CONTRACT on our dogs and puppies and have had to pay for dogs to be shipped back to us after the owners dumped them in a shelter, or they were found and the owner couldn't be located or no longer wanted the dog.
We have taken in 2 dogs after floods wiped out their farm and the owners needed 4 months to rebuild. All without taking a dime.
We do not run a non-profit or receive any financial assistance. This is our commitment to our dogs and puppies.
The dogs and puppies on this page are available at low or no cost. Donations are accepted and appreciated. We take back dogs that have been surrendered by their owners, and we rescue dogs and puppies.

Meet Holly!
Holly is a beautiful Anatolian Shepherd. She was born November 23, 2024. She is spayed.
This girl gets in trouble for chasing the neighbors horses. She has NOT had any formal training. She can't walk on a leash or ride in a car. She is a social butterfly and does not like to be alone. She would be best suited with a family and home, than in a pasture.
Like ALL dogs, training is required.

After being adopted on March 2, 2026, this puppy was returned on May 11, 2026. He was born on September 8, 2025. He is only 8 months old and should weigh about 80 lbs. He only weighs 48 lbs.
The family surrendered him because he would break out of his crate and go through the trash. He was starving...
He is extremely happy and friendly!

Daisy Mae January 14, 2025 - May 12, 2026
Each of our puppies comes with 30 days of FREE accident and illness insurance. And we HIGHLY recommend keeping insurance on your dog for at least 1 1/2 - 2 years.
TRAINING is also HIGHLY recommended, AND WE WILL PAY YOU $50 FOR COMPLETING the AKC Good Citizen program.
Daisy Mae was hit by a car today and surrendered by her owner to the Dallas shelter. She was euthanized this afternoon because she had a broken hip and the owner couldn't pay for vet care. I called and emailed the shelter, but I was too late.
Rest in peace little girl...

Rico April 8, 2023 - May 9, 2026
Rico started out hitting a rough patch when he was stolen from his backyard at only 5 months old. After a $10,000 reward, police report, FB ads, and more, he was found four days later, but lost one of his legs due to the abuse he endured.
Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with a highly aggressive cancer and passed away with his family at his side. He will be missed

June 7, 2025 - March 17, 2026
Rest in peace, Joanna- AKA "Miracle".
I want to thank all the wonderful people that helped rescue Joanna from the NOCO Humane Shelter in Loveland, Colorado. She was turned into the shelter in January after being found with injuries and infections all over her body, and weighing only 15 lbs. She had been adopted in December by Dylan Guiterrez less then 4 weeks from when she was found. The owner was contacted, but wanted nothing to do with this puppy that he had just adopted.
Due to the winter storm that was just about to hit Texas, I was unable to get transportation. I reached out to over 15,000 people and a foster family, transportation, and donations were obtained.
"Miracle" was renamed Joanna after the lizard from Rescuer's Down Under. She would steal toys and hoard them in her crate.
Joanna joined her new family in Texas on February 13, 2026. She loved her new family and fellow Catahoula. She was doing extremely well socializing, even letting strangers pet her.
Unfortunately, she had internal injuries that we were not aware of. She was rushed to the emergency vet on Sunday, and passed away at 6:31 am this morning.
Only 9 months old, she endured extreme abuse in such a short time.
Rest in peace, my love... I will see you at the rainbow bridge.
My puppy, puppy, puppy...

December 24, 2023 - February 24, 2026
Rest in peace, Roscoe.
My heart is broken and my frustration continues as another Bloodhound paid the ultimate price for failing to complete puppy basic training ($150 at Petco), and socialization at an early age (under 8 months).
Just 2 years and 2 months old, Roscoe was abandoned by his owner, Jacob Rangel, left in a crate or in the backyard. No other dogs to play with. No attention. No socialization.
He paid the ultimate price for our failures.
Roscoe was rehomed. Afraid of almost everything and in complete self preservation mode, he attacked his new owner after a walk when she was trying to put him back in a crate so she could get ready for work. She has two other Bloodhounds and is a professional dog trainer. She was hospitalized for extensive permanent damage from the attack.
He died alone in a shelter. No owner by his side. No one to say the last, "I love you. You're a good dog."
He is accused of choking and beating to death at least a dozen dogs and puppies, A witness reported that they had seen Hammonds kill a neighbor’s dogs and puppies by “choking them and slamming them around until they died.”
One of these dogs was Gator, a Catahoula out of Moni's Labor Day 2021 litter, adopted by the McDonald family in 2021.
